Live Wedding Illustration
Intro
Your guests walk away with something no one else gives out: a hand-painted watercolour portrait of themselves, created on the spot during your reception.
I'm Kimberly Djehanian, a London-based watercolour artist. Instead of a photo booth, I set up at a table and paint full-body guest portraits live, usually finishing each one in just a few minutes. Guests sit, wait a moment, and leave with an original piece of art made specifically of them.
It's part entertainment, part keepsake, and something your guests will still be talking about long after the day ends.
How it Works
1. We talk through your day first.
Every wedding is different, so we start with a quick conversation about your guest count, venue, and timing, so I can recommend how many hours makes sense for your reception.
2. You provide a table, I bring everything else.
I'll let you know the table size I need, and your venue or planner arranges it for me. I arrive with my paints and paper, and set up somewhere guests can easily find me.
3. A quick photo, then I paint.
I take a quick photo of each guest, then paint their portrait from it afterwards. There's no posing or standing around waiting, so guests can head straight back to enjoying the reception.
4. Portraits are ready by the end of the day.
Once all the pieces are finished, guests collect their portraits to take home, an original piece of art made specifically of them from your wedding day.
